Well, I'm not going to make a promise that I can't deliver on, and the chances of that are slim. BUT, what if over the next 30 days, I was able to show you and introduce you to a method, a path to genuine, long-lasting joy? Would you take it?
Sometimes, when it comes to living our truly best life, it isn't a matter of reality versus delusion but a matter of which reality we prefer to pursue. Watch this video about making true joy and positivity a priority, then come hang out with me: Pure Joy

My daughter said this to me one time when we were playing on a playground, and I was spending most of the time looking at my phone…
I was worried,
about how I would pay bills, make ends meet or get us through not just a month, but a week and sometimes the day.
What are the things you worry about most of the time?
We came here to have fun…
Perhaps you’ve heard the phrase or said it yourself, “if it isn’t fun, then why do it?”
My answer has typically been, “because sometimes bills gots to get paid, son”
But it is worth asking: are you having any fun?
By fun, I don’t always mean that something is amusing or entertaining,
but for the most part…how are you feeling about your life right now? Are you getting much enjoyment or meaning or fulfillment out of it?
I don’t know about you, but I have had a habit of trying to cramb so much in that sometimes, the activity or vacation seems like more work than pleasure.
I find sometimes that the older and older a person gets, the harder and harder it can be to know how to have…fun.
And so we fill our lives with things to fill that void.
The band Jimmy Eat World has a song called, Something Loud. They released it earlier this year. Jimmy Eat World is my favorite, and they’ve been my favorite for the last 20 years. And in the song they pose the basic premise, which speaks well to their fans,
“All night
Do you still feel part of something loud?
All night
Are you such a different person now?”
When we’re young, we often dream about being older; adults; being more grown-up. And then, at some point, we reach the age of “grown-up“, and then we dream about being young; dreading getting older.
it’s almost like there’s this middle ground that doesn’t really exist between growing up and being a grown-up that so many of are hoping to find.
But the biggest key, I’ve found, to having a fun, meaningful, fulfilling life is being fully present with where we are.
“We came here to have fun…”
Are you having any fun?
••••
Life can still be fun.
Despite all the challenges and struggles and day-to-day things, life, ordinary, every day life can be totally, totally amazing
But how do we get there?
How do we get to the point where just waking feels like a blessing rather than a chore?
What if there was a system in place that could get us there?
One that was simple, easy to follow, and could be implemented right this second?
And, assuming the right application, can happen within a relatively short timeframe?
What if there was a way that within the next 30 to 40 days, you could wake up looking forward to each day…even if what you’re heading into isn’t that enjoyable at all?
What if you had the opportunity to truly step forward into living your life - where our emotions are so in line, that we could enter any situation with confidence, that our emotions could handle it?
So that each moment, truly felt like an adventure?
I’m glad you asked.
Hi, I’m Ben.
I help professionals & leaders navigate their emotions, and build genuine, long-lasting contentment.
I also really love Emo and PopPunk music.
This is done through a process called, the Emo Code, where I introduce clients to the idea of Emotional Confidence.
This isn’t confidence like “I can do it!” confidence, although that’s important too. But much like we might build confidence within ourselves with a skill or talent or our appearance, there is a way in which we can learn about our emotions, and become so in tune with them, that we believe in our ability to handle any given situation, without crumbling or breaking down.
Think of it like swimming.
When I jump into a pool, or body of water, I don’t freak out. Why? Because I know that I can swim.
My daughter has been learning to swim this year. When kids learn to swim, they don’t start by being thrown into the water and “giving it a go”.
First, they start by getting introduced and used to the water, AND, by making playing in the water fun. (We did that starting when she was a baby too.)
Then, they introduced her to water movement - moving around in the water, and learning how to move her body through it.
Then, as she progressed, they had her move up to actual swimming (arm strokes and kicking) - at first with someone helping, and then on her own.
A year ago, swimming was not possible, but by summer, she had developed the ability to swim at least for one length of a small pool on her own. Sometimes, I’ve had to remind her, “Remember, you can swim.” And she’ll go, “Oh yeah! And then swim.”
But she’s still working on treading water, and she’s continuing to work on her swimming so that she becomes a stronger and stronger swimmer.
BUT, here’s why I’m bringing it up.
Swimming is the only sport that I will require her to do. Why?
Because not only is it fun, it’s a life skill. It could literally save her life.
As we learn to swim, our ability becomes so instinctual, that we know how to do it, automatically. We develop muscle memory.
Emotional Confidence through the Emo Code is about developing and building emotional muscle memory, so that when we come across a body of heavy or overwhelming or intense emotions, we don’t run away, or drown or sink, or simply REACT,
But know how to, instinctually, and intentionally, “swim”.
So that, when we say, "We came here to have fun…"
We actually mean it.
